There are many michlin star restaurants throughout the area but there are also small bistro type restaurants where you get excellent food at a reasonable price.

Lorgues and the surroundong area have lots and lots of great restaurants. In the summer all the restaurants have outdoor terraces that really add to the atmosphere. You will find more and more reviewed on various websites like trip advisor. We have selected a few restaurants to give you a flavour of what you can expect. Expect 30 euros for a good meal and wine between 25-40 euro’s
Chez Bruno

World Famous Truffel Restaurant
Helicopters frequently land at Chez Bruno bringing the rich and famous from the coast. Chez Bruno has been featured on many television programs and you will find many videos. If you like truffles Chez Bruno is for you. But you do get truffles with every course! It will cost about 100 euro’s a head with wine. A friend of ours son worked there and a Russian bought two bottles of wine costing 16,000 euro’s each. Of course the area has some famous residents (Brad, George Clunnie, Johnny Depp and various film directors). So you might get to take lunch near somebody famous!

Les trois garcon

If you like a steak in a bistro then Les trois garcons in draguignan is a good option. Opposite the main car park the restaurant has a pavement terrace that has plenty of atmosphere. Reasonable price

In Draguignan there are two large Asian restaurants the Asia Wok and Saigon 2. Both have a buffet style, eat as much as you want, large sitting areas. Both are reasonably priced

If you are looking for a great fish restaurant then Le Saint Pierre is well worth a try. It’s in Draguignan, easy to find and they have a large seating capacity.

This is a great location. It overlooks Les Arcs so it’s about 8km away. It’s a medival hotel with a very good restauant. So besides great views, a beautiful ‘castle’ now operating as a hotel you also get a good french menu at a reasonable price.

This restaurant is mainly a fish restaurant. Everybody who has eaten there have had good meals. The staff are very attentive. This restaurant received the Bib Gourmand award for good meals at fair prices.

Chateau de Berne
Lorgues
Lorgues has the second largest market in the Var (next to St Tropez). It is on a Tuesday morning and it fills the village. It attracts thousands of visitors. There is also a smaller version on Friday morning as well.
On Sunday morning Salernes (about 7 miles away) has a nice market as well. The video is about Aix en Provence, a fantastic small city about 1 hr away

This is a good chinese takeaway. Situated on the last roundabout towards carces. They also have sit down restaurant and they tend to get full quickly. A menu should be in the cottage
